چکیده

The pressure swing adsorption (PSA) process was used to capture carbon dioxide (CO2) from the flue gas of a coal-fired power plant reduce CO2 emissions. Herein, captured using PSA for at least 85 vol% purity and with other exit stream more than 90 N2 purity. extended Langmuir–Freundlich isotherm calculating equilibrium capacity, linear driving force model describe kinetics. To determine optimal operating conditions process, central composite design (CCD) used. After CCD analysis, 3.66 atm vacuum 0.05 were produce bottom product 89.20 recovery 88.20%, top 98.49 93.56%. mechanical energy consumption estimated be 1.17 GJ/t-CO2.

Using bromine gas to enhance mercury removal from flue gas of coal-fired power plants.

Bromine gas was evaluated for converting elemental mercury (Hg0) to oxidized mercury, a form that can readily be captured by the existing air pollution control device. The gas-phase oxidation rates of Hg0 by Br2 decreased with increasing temperatures. SO2, CO, HCl, and H2O had insignificant effect, while NO exhibited a reverse course of effect on the Hg0 oxidation: promotion at low NO concentra...

Effect of Gas Recycling on the Performance of a Moving Bed Temperature-Swing (MBTSA) Process for CO2 Capture in a Coal Fired Power Plant Context

A mathematical model of a continuous moving-bed temperature-swing adsorption (MBTSA) process for post-combustion CO2 capture in a coal-fired power plant context has been developed. Process simulations have been done using single component isotherms and measured gas diffusion parameters of an activated carbon adsorbent. While a simple process configuration with no gas re-circulation gives quite ...

Novel catalytic process for flue gas conditioning in electrostatic precipitators of coal-fired power plants.

One of the most important environmental protection problems for coal-fired power plants is prevention of atmospheric pollution of flying ash. The ash particles are typically removed from flue gases by means of electrostatic precipitators, for which the efficiency may be significantly increased by lowering the resistance of fly ash, which may be achieved by controlled addition of microamounts of...
